Christians; do u think Lot being a drunkard and incestuous, went to heaven?
Genesis 19 (New King James Version)
The Descendants of Lot
30 Then Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountains, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar. And he and his two daughters dwelt in a cave. 31 Now the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man on the earth to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth. 32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” 33 So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. 34 It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, “Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father.” 35 Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. 36 Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. 37 The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. 38 And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammon to this day.
Uncle Thesis. You conveniently ignore the fact that they drank wine all the time in the old bible times. It's mentioned many, many times. He was obviously very, very used to drinking wine, they must have just pressed more on him than usual. The drinking of wine will make you high in any amount. What is your definition of a 'drunkard'? Because by modern religious stantards, they would have labeled him a drunkard. Look at he Apostles when the holy spirit came upon them and they talked in tongues….obviously they drank ALOT, because they were accused of being drunk and to which they replied that it was only nine in the morning so clearly they did their drinking in the evening when they drank. Which must have been pretty often. Don't give me ur high-handed superiority and if you've been to preacher school I pray for any people YOU get put over because your judgementalism is going to get you into trouble. As for interpretation of scripture, we ALL have the right to interpret for ourselves.
King David was an adulterous and a confirmed murderer.yet he was Chosen as God's Son and was the first to be given the seat at the right Hand side of God.
Jacob was a sly deceiving brother to Esau and did try to wrestle with God and yet to him was the name Israel given that became once a great nation and still a nation to reckoned with.
In Matthew, Jesus was called a glutton and a drunkard, a friend to tax collector and sinners and yet he was vindicated by his wisdom.
The real God do not look so much at your weaknesses but more on your ability and capability to carry out His commands. Sinning is a part of human nature and through experiencing those and with constantly trying to correct may even lead you sit before the throne of God.

Who knows? Only God may judge so it’s pointless to even consider.

It wasn’t his fault he was incestuous–he was raped. Jeez, blame the victim.
But yeah, he was still a drunkard.

Christians believe that unless you know and accept Jesus Christ you will never get to heaven. So Lot is screwed and i guess so are kids with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and a myriad of other disabilities.

Yeah, well, herein lie my issues with the ludocrisy of the Bible. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s double standards!

Well, whoring out his virgin daughters to an angry mob probably got him his ticket to heaven. Having sex with them later was just gravy.

incest, drunkenness, homo conduct etc would have been warned by our 1Supreme AbsoluteRuler to man through messengers.
the bible says that 1 of our Lord’s messengers, Lut alahi salam peace be upon him, after being saved from Sodom by His 1Lord, drank 2 nights & conceived in his daughters?!?!?!?!!!?? straight error & insults & doom for ppl who believe & follow those statements. Lut alahi salam was righteous & warned his nation, he was upright to his 1Creator. thats why he got saved.
“And the answer of his people was only that they said (to one another): Turn them out of your township. They are folk who seek to keep pure.” (7:82)

There are many people’s names listed in the bible who probably did not go to heaven.
But I do believe you are missing the point of the story.
Study on what did the Ammonite and Moabite people become.
What were the ultimate consequences of the actions of these daughters and even their mother? After all if their mother, she would had stopped them from doing these things.
And that is the point of the story, when we miss the purpose God has for our lives, things go horribly wrong. And the damage will last not just for the day, but for generations to come.

I don’t claim to know the place the soul of this man went but truly in a time like that who knows what the culture was and if this was acceptable, and it may have been acceptable. The daughters were adult enough to choose. I would think that it would be an odd thing considering they had to cause their father to drink wine but sin or not? I don’t know. there is always repentance and forgiveness either way.

I think he will…but at the moment, I think he’s just dead…along with Moses (a murderer), King David (a murderer AND an adulterer), and Abraham (a liar and a deadbeat dad)…and most of the other faithful (but not perfect) servants of God described in the Bible.
…of course, I’m not the judge.

So, “THEY MADE THEIR FATHER drink wine……….”
Sure, Lot made a mistake.
He allowed his daughters to coax him into drinking too much, on one occasion.
According to you, that makes him a drunkard.
Isn’t that a harsh judgement?
And please note, Lot did not go after his daughters.
His daughters were the ring-leaders.
Incestuous? Maybe, but not on Lot’s part.
Did he go to heaven?
No.
Why?
Because nobody goes to heaven. Not the good, the bad, or the ugly.
Our future is explained at Psalm 37:29.
I invite you to look it up.
