Genesis Resveratrol

Why would anyone believe in the spurious theory of the “Big Bang”?

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.

John 1:3

All things were made by him: and without him was not anything made that was made.”

thats what i ask myself we need to pray for them

What is the alternative which has any supporting evidence? The fact is there is no alternative explanation that has any supporting evidence.

I have no problem if you say the Big Bang theory doesn't have enough evidence for you to accept it but that just leaves us with no explanation at all.

why would anybody believe in the Bible. The big bang is fact, you can see the evidence when looking into a telescope. You're quoting a fiction book written thousands of years ago by Shepperds

EDIT: you can't just use random quotes and say thats fact here is my evidence. A book cannot give itself validity. we have proof, you have nothing

Oh my, like, yeah. I mean, rational thought, logic, evidence, experimentation. observation, blah blah blah. Who cares about that nonsense.

I’ve got me a 2000 year old book that tells me everything I’ll ever need to know.

    Right on!

    The Big Bang DID happen!

God Almighty revealed this to us in the seventh century :)
the following is how the big bang happened:

“Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: ‘Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly.’ They said: ‘We do come (together), in willing obedience.’ So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge. (The Noble Quran, 41:11-12)”

“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? (The Noble Quran, 21:30)”

    The universe is also expanding!!!

“And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it. (The Noble Quran, 51:47)”

The “Cosmic Crunch” Theory was also mentioned in the Noble Quran 1440 years ago!!

“The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (The Noble Quran, 21:104)”

Because all of the evidence collected to date regarding the natural universe points to it.

I have never understood why any Christian would reject the Big Bang. All it is is simply the moment that things went from nothing to something. It doesn’t state one way or another that God was the cause or not, although whatever the cause was, does sound like God by definition.

My aunt was a mathematician that worked with Hubble. I remember quite clearly her telling me as a child how it was those who were atheists who were threatened by the Big Bang. After all, it means the universe didn’t always exist, that it had a beginning.

Genesis & John don’t say how the Heaven and the earth were created. Since the bible doesn’t tell you how it was done how do you know it wasn’t by means of the Big Bang? Why would you not believe in the Big Bang when there’s a mountain of scientific evidence that points to the Big Bang?

This quote came from a book too but what are the chances it actually happened?

"And now at last it comes. You will give me the Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!"

Questions: 1) What day did God create the Sun by which we set our human “day”? 2) Is a day on say, Jupiter 24 hours? 3) Do you know Hebrew and could the sentence be “When God began creating the heavens and the earth, the earth…” 4) Does it say that “When God created the heavens and the earth” just how he did it? Does it say it was not with a bang –big or little? 5) How then did God use his son to help create anything and everything? 6) Do you stop with one question and one answer or do you do what God does throughout the Bible and keep asking questions?

let me get this straight, you think the “Big Bang Theory” is spurious, but you think a book of fairy tales explains the origins of existence?

    Thanks for the LOL.
