A very close person in my family has been diagnosed with liver cancer. He is gonna be getting surgery very soon an i wanna know what are the chances of him living..

i would like to know what kind of cancer was that was it primary or
secondary? and also was benign or malignant.
secondary cancers are dangerous one with little chances of life.
if it was a benign then it can have good prognosis.
It is also important whether how much of the liver is involved by the cancer.
Which kind of surgery is he gona have,whether whole of the liver is being removed or half of it.
if a part of liver is being removed then the good news is that liver grows back, it has regerating power?
if whole of it is being removed,then my frend there is no other organ in our body that can perform funtions like liver..

I ran into my old P.E. teacher in the grocery store today and she told me she had breast cancer. She’s doing well now and the DR tells her she’s “cancer free” at this point although not necessarily in remission.
Is there a difference between being in remission and being cancer free?
That is kind of a strange way to word it as you would rather be cancer free.
Remission is the absence of active cancer with the possibility of return of disease activity. Cancer free means there is no cancer and it is not expected to return.

What are the possible rates for a 15 year old to get breast cancer and a 15 year old to get breast tissue cancer?
I really need to know if my friend is lying to me, I only found out yesterday the she had it.
Breast cancer and breast tissue cancer is the same thing there is no difference. From 1975 to 2000 1.3 in every one million 15-19 year olds were diagnosed with breast cancer. It is very unlikely your friend has breast cancer if she is only 15 years old.
