Why do some Christians think Jesus didn't drink alcohol?
It says in the Bible that Jesus drank wine. It also says people got drunk in the Bible. I have heard many people say that Jesus drank grape juice. I think he drank wine with alcohol I like to have a beer or two on my nights off. I don't get drunk and my wife tells me that drinking is a sin. I know it says in the Bible not to get drunk but I don't think drinking is a sin unless you let it control your life.
Yes, I think Jesus drank wine with alcohol. But the bible says not to abuse of alcohol. Everything in moderation. Many of the Jewish leaders talked bad about Jesus because he will go out and eat and drink with regular people. When the bible says "drink" here, it means alcoholic drinks. Even doctors say that 2 glasses of alcoholic wine a day is good for your health. The bible knew this more than 2000 years ago.

Drinking is a vice, just as many other things are. However, Jesus never said that all drinking is inherently evil. I doubt he would have turned the water into wine is it was evil to imbibe it.
It is not a sin for you to drink. I choose not to, partly for religious reasons, and partly because I simply don't enjoy it.

Drinking is not a sin. Jesus first miracle was to make wine at a church function. When your drinking seperates you from the will of God it becomes sinful.
Also if you have a freind with a drinking problem and you drink in front of him causing him to stumble, that is sinful. We choose not to risk hurting others by drinking around them.

I think wine means wine in the Holy Bible. People put a spin on things sometimes and I don't know why. Self control is important for most things, not just alcohol. A few drinks now and then is fine IMHO.
May God Bless you.
